On 1 September, the outcome of the “Research Report on the Development of Pakistan’s New Energy Storage Industry”, jointly submitted by Sunway and the Pakistan Study Centre at Fudan University, was officially selected as an adopted research outcome for Shanghai’s “Regional and Country Studies Research Reports.” The report has since been officially published on the "Shanghai Enterprises Going Global Service Platform".

The “Regional and Country Studies Research Reports” initiative is organised by the Shanghai Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences and supports the "Shanghai Enterprises Going Global Service Platform". Drawing on Sunway’s practical experience in supporting Chinese enterprises’ overseas expansion, industry engagement, and local cooperation in Pakistan, Sunway jointly prepared the “Research Report on the Development of Pakistan’s New Energy Storage Industry” with the Pakistan Study Centre at Fudan University. The report examines Pakistan’s industrial foundations, policy environment, market demand, and potential pathways for Chinese enterprises entering the market. The research outcome was officially selected under the “Regional and Country Studies Research Reports” initiative of the Shanghai Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences and has since been published on the platform.

Based on this research and its firsthand project experience, Sunway has observed that, supported by the energy, transport and logistics infrastructure developed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Pakistan is further advancing the development of its domestic manufacturing capabilities. At the same time, China-Pakistan industrial cooperation is gradually expanding beyond infrastructure and conventional trade into areas including technology cooperation, industrial investment, local assembly, joint manufacturing and industrial park development. For Chinese companies, the opportunities in the Pakistani market are likewise shifting from simply exporting products towards longer-term value creation through local industrial presence and operations.

In addition to new energy storage, Sunway continues to monitor market access policies, application scenarios and cooperation opportunities in the new energy,  low-altitude economy, electric two and three-wheelers, and other emerging industries in overseas markets. The adoption of this research further demonstrates Sunway’s ability to develop industry insights and strategic perspectives grounded in firsthand project experience. It provides Chinese companies with practical, experience-based insights to assess opportunities in the Pakistani market, develop market-entry strategies and advance local partnerships, supported by professional guidance throughout the process.
